The Reeceling is the perspective of an Australian winemaker who traded the surf for the slopes. Slopes which grow Riesling - a wine which cannot be imitated beyond the Mosel Valley. As a winemaker it is natural to have a love-hate relationship with the Mosel. The work is taxing but the rewards are grand. Viticulturally and Oenologically speaking, Mosel Riesling allows (forces) us to be extremely creative when growing our wines. Such creativity is easier to unearth in the surrounds of the Art Nouveau town, Traben-Trarbach.
We will discuss anything that tastes, looks, sounds or smells good in the region. We’re all about dirt, slate, acidity, sugar, wooden poles, shears, barrels, boots, wildlife, food, flora, Art Nouveau and most importantly, a laugh. Here’s to bringing like-minded characters together…
Cheers and Enjoy,
